Paul Andrew MacLean has worked in theater, film and television. After graduating from Ithaca College with a degree in Cinema and Photography, he continued his education studying television drama production in London. Crew work includes stints with Full Moon Productions in Hollywood and Green Umbrella Films of Bristol, England. His short film, A Gentlemen’s Dispute was an official selection of The Chicago International Film festival.
In the 1990s he was a regular contributor to the publications Movie Music and Film Score Monthly, providing articles on film scoring, as well as interviews with composers such as Maurice Jarre, George Fenton, Elmer Bernstein and Basil Poledouris. From 1996 to 2009 he served as film reviewer for Renaissance Magazine, and was a contributing reviewer for Videohound’s Guide To Soundtracks.
He recently completed work as cinematographer on the documentary I Am Rochester.
